Production Description
Casting call for Pasadena City College’s Summer ’23 mainstage production in Sexson Auditorium!
All actors must be prepared to enroll in both THTR 029 & MUSC 067 courses corresponding to the production. SHH!… (The Library Musical) is a new original musical comedy developed at PCC, and workshopped in the Fall 22′ semester. This production will require actors to memorize lines/songs and choreography. Music will be orchestrated and performed by a band.
SHOW SYNOPSIS:
A young librarian (GINGER) is excited for her first day on the job, and has a secret lifelong desire to keep it open on Sundays. The two senior librarians (ROBERTA & AGNES) attempt to get Ginger fired, until they realize that they can use her as an unwitting accomplice in an insurance fraud scheme. After Ginger realizes she and her love interest, the USPS man (MICHAEL), have been framed, Ginger attempts to foil the scheme with a good ol’ fashioned heist and set things right in Librarydom. All in a day’s work… at your local county instituted, public-funded, everyday library!
